Calcination
Day 1: Friday March 27th
Depart from Amsterdam Schiphol at 11:40 on the direct KLM flight to Jorge Chavez Lima, arriving at 18:10. You are flying in Economy, Standard class. You are allowed to bring a maximum of one bag, suitcase, or backpack weighing up to 23 kg as checked baggage. Please note that for domestic flights in Peru, you are only allowed a maximum of 12 kg of checked baggage! For hand luggage on this flight, you may bring one piece measuring 40 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm and one piece measuring 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm.
You will be greeted and welcomed upon arrival at Jorge Chavez Airport by your tour guide Peter van Haren. You will then be escorted to a comfortable hotel in Barranco, a luxurious artistic neighborhood on the coast in central Lima. For those interested, we can take an evening stroll through the lively artistic center for a first introduction to this metropolis of around 10 million inhabitants. Lima is situated on a high, immense cliff along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. At this time of year, it is summer, meaning temperatures are around 23 degrees Celsius.
Day 2: Saturday March 28th
Acclimatization day, a day to recover from the 12-hour flight and the 6-hour time difference (ahead of NL time). Today we will take a joint walk along the coast to the boulevard in Miraflores, the commercial center of Lima with many luxurious restaurants, bars, and shops. This day will give you a good impression of beautiful Lima.

Dissolution
Day 3: Sunday March 29th
We fly to Cusco, the town that has become world-famous for its role as the starting point for trips to Machu Picchu. Cusco (located at approximately 3,400 meters) is beautiful, and by walking through its small streets, you can immerse yourself in the Inca culture of the past with a little imagination and observation. We will stay here for 3 nights in a charming, atmospheric hotel near the center.
Day 4: Monday March 30th
– Awe and Presence
We will travel by a luxurious train through the mountains to the world wonder and back. This day is dedicated to visiting one of the 7 official world wonders, Machu Picchu. This 15th-century Inca citadel is famous for its sophisticated dry-stone architecture. It is situated in the Andes Mountains at approximately 2,450 meters and is surrounded by tropical rainforest. But in truth, any further words we might say about it would fail to capture the actual beauty of the reality. We anticipate this day will be a long, intensive, and overwhelming one that will stay with you for your entire life.

Separation
Day 5: Tuesday March 31th
– Free day
Everyone can chart their own course and come and go as they please. Perhaps get some laundry done somewhere? Of course, for these kinds of practical matters and many other tips, you can turn to Tour Guide Peter. A recommended activity is a visit to Rainbow Mountain.
Day 6: Wednesday April 1st
By plane, we travel to Puerto Maldonado, a beautiful jungle city in the southeast of Peru, the capital of the Madre de Dios district and the Gateway to the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest.
Located at the confluence of the Tambopata and Madre de Dios rivers. This protected National Park offers a vast array of jungle biodiversity.
Here, the preparation for the participants of the Ayahuasca ritual regarding the diet also begins.
This day is dedicated to acclimatization and preparation for tomorrow.

Conjunction
Day 7: Thursday April 2th
Day 8: Friday April 3th
We will be picked up by a professional tour operator for a 2-Day Jungle Tour.
Meals and accommodation are also provided by them. In the coming days, we will be hiking, taking boat trips, and above all, seeing lots of animals, plants, trees, and other natural wonders. For those who are interested, this will be a great opportunity to ask the tour operator's guides plenty of questions. Most guides speak reasonable English, otherwise Peter can act as a mediator. On the last evening in the jungle, we will once again check into a nice hotel.

Fermentation
Day 9: Saturday April 4th
We fly back to Lima from Puerto Maldonado. Since there are few direct connecting flights, almost all journeys go via Lima. Tonight we will stay in central Lima and take an evening bus tour through this fascinating Metropolis.
Day 10: Sunday April 5th
Today we take our 4th domestic flight. As Peru is an expansive country with a very limited infrastructure, flying is a must for adventurers with limited time... so we're off to Jauja, where we will meet the Peruvian Shaman and his famous Ayahuasca experience. This day is therefore primarily dedicated to preparing for the Ayahuasca ritual. We will meet Shaman Danny Manuel Maita Mayor, who will explain the process and welcome us. The Ayahuasca Ritual begins this evening. Paul and Peter will be on standby but will not participate in the session, in order to protect the group from unforeseen negative influences and/or to provide mental support if needed.
Day 11: Monday April 6th
During the day, you can share your experiences with each other, with the Shaman, and/or with Paul. Furthermore, we advise you to rest and gather energy for the second night of Ayahuasca.
All of this takes place within a private recreation resort. Your luxurious bedroom with a private bathroom is easily accessible, and the grounds feature a restaurant, sauna, and swimming pool.
Of course, your well-being and health are our absolute top priority, and we strive to provide you with the safest possible environment!

Distillation
Day 12: Tuesday April 7th
Today is dedicated to recuperation, processing, and relaxation! An extremely interesting day for gaining perspective in many aspects.
Day 13: Wednesday April 8th
We fly to Lima, Old Centre. Back to luxury, convenience, and comfort. Something most of us will probably be in the mood for by now. Paul and Peter certainly are. We have chosen a 5-Star Hotel with a classy restaurant, gym, swimming pool, and a cozy bar.
Day 14: Thursday April 9th
A relaxation day in Lima. Everyone can explore the city at their own pace or relax a bit at the luxury hotel. A good time to buy souvenirs. Peter always has tips for those who want them. Of course, we can also arrange to do something together for those who are interested, depending on everyone's preferences.

Coagulation
Day 15: Friday April 10th
Today, you will return to the Netherlands with the group. We check out at 12:00. We can still have a farewell lunch together for those who would like to, and afterwards we will make our way to the airport: Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chávez, where we will at least temporarily say our goodbyes. We need to start checking in at 14:00, as the direct KLM flight to Amsterdam departs at 17:00.
Day 16: Saturday April 11th
Arrival in Amsterdam at 12:50 local time. Your Ayahuasca Peru Tour has come to an end. Everyone will have experienced it in their own way. What we can guarantee you is an Unforgettable Adventure!
A Peter & Paul Tour makes the difference by its focus on details. All participants of the April Purpose Peru Tour 2026 are welcome to share their experiences, emotions, and/or comments via email.

About your tour operators
At your service are your professional tour guide Peter van Haren, a Dutchman who has lived in Peru for over 20 years and has guided groups through almost the entire country, and last but not least, Paul van Schaik, your spiritual teacher.
Perhaps a fun detail to know... Paul and Peter have been friends since the early 90s and have collaborated on various projects in the past. We are excited to be working together again now.
Peter: "I have always respected Paul for his independence and strong-mindedness, which he has been able to translate into a captivating and engaging philosophy. Paul is full of contradictions. A tough, boxing rock bassist who has dedicated his life to contemplating essential matters and expressing them through writing, storytelling, and teaching, often with a healthy dose of humor."
Paul: "Peter is quite the character. Courageous, persevering enterprising, adventurous, great sense of humor, wide-ranging interests and a great storyteller".
With this project, after many years of each going our own ways, we have arrived at a fascinating crossroads once again... A crossroads of diverse ideas that still spark and, of course, also share significant common ground – hence this initiative, from which you may reap the benefits.
